Friday, May 21, Borderlands Ensemble: Concierto en la Frontera: Lugar e Identidad, part of UNAM-Tucson’s First International Convening of the Sciences, Arts, and Humanities. Sunday, October 24, Borderlands Ensemble. 1-3pm at Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, AZ. Masks required. Outdoor performance. Free with Tohono Chul Park admission ($15 adult, $6 child).

Friday, October 8, Video Premiere: Songs and Arias by Vivian Fine. Performance by the Borderlands Ensemble. Original animation by Shiang Hwang. 6pm PDT, watch HERE.

Saturday, October 9, Music+ Festival: Solo horn performance featuring music by two of Nadia Boulanger’s students: Jane Vignery and Jean Francaix. 2:30pm, Holsclaw Hall, The University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, Tucson, AZ.

Thursday, October 21, Celebrating Progress: The Arizona Wind Quintet presents music celebrating the centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment, which granted women the right to vote. Despite the ratification of this amendment, women of color continued to struggle for decades to access the ballot box. Learn more in this interactive lecture-performance. Music by Amy Beach, Elinor Warren, Valerie Coleman, and a world premiere by UA faculty member, Kay He. 7pm, Holsclaw Hall, The University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, Tucson, AZ.
